Company History
We were formed in1974, as Central Myanmar in shipping and barter trading. We also imported diesel and petroleum from Singapore. In 2007, we changed our company name to Focus Star Co., Ltd.
In 2012 we entered into a contractual agreement with Japan Tobacco International to be the local partner in manufacturing various JTI brands including Mevius, Winston, Camel and also to be the Exclusive Distributor for Myanmar.
Focus Star ventured into automotive repairs business in 2017, bringing the very first specialist and state of the art facility from Singapore, Optima Werkz and started Optima Werkz Yangon.
In 2018, Focus Star partnered with two other stake holders and launched Wave Plus purified drinking water.
Today, we have more than 500 employees and growing. Our mission is to expand our business and its brands in most effective and efficient ways while being ethical.
